The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) in the United States has registered over 2,000 reports of unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings during the first half of 2025.
According to data published on the organization`s website, 87 reports of alleged extraterrestrial activity were logged in just the first week of July. January saw the highest number of sightings, with Americans reporting over 560 incidents during that month.
Cumulatively, the total number of reports for the first six months of 2025 surpassed 2,200. This volume of reports from January through July marks an increase compared to the same period in the preceding two years.
This trend follows a recent survey conducted by NewsNation and Decision Desk HQ, which revealed that more than 40% of U.S. residents believe their government is concealing information about the existence of UFOs.
