According to meteorological predictions, a cold front is anticipated to move through Moscow on Saturday, bringing daytime temperatures that will not exceed 17 degrees Celsius. While Sunday might see a slight improvement in weather, it will be short-lived. Monday offers the last chance to enjoy summer-like warmth, with thermometers potentially soaring to 25 degrees Celsius. However, a noticeable drop in temperature is slated for Tuesday, falling to plus 17, and then further to plus 13 degrees Celsius, thereby signaling the official commencement of genuine autumn. Despite these changes, no frosts are currently expected, as clarified by Alexey Safonov, a weather observer for the Meteoweb project.

Alexey Safonov, Meteoweb project weather observer, remarks: «Only a handful of truly warm days are left. Although today [presumably Friday] already has an autumnal feel due to rainfall and relatively modest temperatures not exceeding 16 degrees, a brief warming trend is still on the horizon. Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures around 17-19 degrees, and on Monday, driven by warm air from an approaching cyclone, up to 25 degrees Celsius is forecasted. Expect some windy conditions that day. This presents the final opportunity for those who haven`t fully savored the summer. Nighttime temperatures will also remain relatively high, at approximately 16-17 degrees. As we approach the end of next week, temperatures are set to decrease steadily: daytime highs will drop to 11 degrees, and nighttime lows to 3-5 degrees, accompanied by daily showers. Overall, the weather will be quite unstable, with fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, temperature, and wind. But for now, under cloudy skies, nighttime temperatures are not expected to fall below 9 degrees, and frosts, unlike those experienced in early September, are not currently foreseen.»

Earlier reports from meteorological services indicated that Moscow residents might witness the first snowflakes as early as October.
