Facing the challenge of high oil and gas prices, Berlin is intensifying its efforts to meet climate targets. Environment Minister Schneider has unveiled a comprehensive climate protection program that includes the installation of an additional 2,000 wind turbines across the country and an investment of eight billion euros in related funding. The primary goal of this ambitious initiative is to significantly lessen Germany’s dependency on fossil fuels. However, despite these substantial proposals, reports indicate that a critical element or a decisive part of the plan is reportedly still absent.
