The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences has announced that solar flares are expected to resume this evening.

«Flares will resume by evening, and the star will begin to actively release energy,» noted the experts from the laboratory.

Scientists explained this phenomenon by the onset of growth in active regions on the Sun. While sunspots are inherently harmless structures, their spontaneous appearance indicates the emergence of powerful magnetic fields with significant energy reserves from the Sun`s interior to its surface.
