Company F6 has outlined the primary errors that result in financial losses for Russian citizens. These mistakes were detailed by the company on its Telegram channel.
The company warned that fraudulent schemes utilizing NFC technology have become prevalent in 2025. Malefactors deceive individuals into installing applications that intercept NFC traffic, enabling them to steal bank card data. The SuperCard virus, for instance, operates in this manner.
F6 identified clicking on links from strangers received via chats and SMS messages as one of the key errors causing users to lose money. The company also advised against installing files obtained from unofficial sources. Furthermore, they stressed that users should never uninstall a banking application from their phone at someone else`s request.
F6 recommended checking if applications have NFC access when they shouldn`t. Additionally, the company emphasized that apps should not be granted device management permissions.
It was reported in June that Russians had begun experiencing attacks involving the SuperCard virus. It was noted that this malware is based on the legitimate NFCGate application, which was developed in Germany in 2015.
