The prominent Russian pharmacy chain «Stolichki» has been forced to halt operations following a significant cyberattack that disrupted its services.
In an official statement, the «Stolichki» social pharmacy network acknowledged a technical malfunction directly caused by a hacker attack. The company confirmed that a dedicated team of specialists is actively engaged in restoring all affected services and systems.
Company representatives have underlined their commitment to fully restoring the pharmacies` functionality. The press service also noted that approximately half of the outlets have already resumed service for customers. The network`s management has pledged to achieve a complete restoration of its systems in the shortest possible timeframe following the cyberattack.
The service disruption initially surfaced on July 29, when «Stolichki» pharmacies in Moscow ceased operations due to the technical issues. During this period, customers reported being unable to utilize online booking features or access their loyalty program data. Furthermore, in-store cash registers and accounting systems were non-functional. The company has assured the public that all currently unavailable services would be restored soon.
