MOSCOW, July 9. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has instructed the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, to give maximum priority to utilizing domestic software and lifecycle management systems within the space sector. The instruction was given during a meeting between the two officials.
During their discussion, Mishustin emphasized the importance of examining competitor solutions while developing and updating Roscosmos` overall strategy.
«It is very important to carefully review what solutions are being applied elsewhere and, of course, to prioritize the use of Russian products and software as much as possible, particularly heavy software, computer-aided design systems, and lifecycle management systems. It would be excellent if this could be implemented using Russian systems,» Mishustin stated.
