The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, noted the significant interest of the private sector in space technologies and emphasized the need to capitalize on this potential. This statement was made during his meeting with Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister set the task of improving the economic efficiency and financial stability of space industry enterprises. He also pointed out the importance of involving private businesses in production chains.
Mishustin emphasized that this work should be carried out jointly with the Ministry of Finance. According to him, this approach will strengthen the overall competitiveness of the sector and attract additional, non-budgetary funding, which is the second important goal. «The interest of private business in space technologies is enormous. Roscosmos must make capitalizing on this interest a key objective,» Mishustin told the head of the state corporation.
