The Moscow region is set to experience very high temperatures, nearing record levels, throughout the rest of the week. Daytime temperatures could reach between +33 and +35°C.

A slight relief is anticipated from next Monday, with weather forecasters predicting highs not exceeding +30°C. The heatwave is expected to begin subsiding with the first thunderstorms arriving on Sunday. While daytime heat will ease, nighttime temperatures are projected to remain relatively high.

Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, stated that swimming in Moscow and Moscow region bodies of water will be comfortable starting Friday, July 11. He advises using water as the most effective way to cope with the extreme heat until Saturday.

Due to the severe conditions, the Hydrometcenter has extended the orange level of weather danger for the capital region. This warning is currently in effect until July 14.
