A significant M-class solar flare erupted from the Sun during the early hours of Saturday, September 20th. This celestial event was promptly reported by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Details released on the Laboratory`s official website indicate that the flare, which achieved a peak intensity of M1.5, occurred shortly after midnight Moscow time on September 20. Further solar activity was noted throughout the same Saturday, with three additional, albeit less powerful, C-class flares also being observed.
Despite these energetic bursts from our star, the geomagnetic conditions around Earth are currently reported as tranquil. Space weather forecasters have confirmed that there are no magnetic storms anticipated in the immediate future, ensuring a calm and stable environment for our planet.
