В России стартовала значимая инициатива по сохранению уникальных природных богатств страны – первозданных лесов и их редких обитателей.
Фонд «Природа и люди» в партнерстве с компанией «Лемана ПРО» официально объявили о запуске масштабного проекта под названием «Хранители леса». Главная цель этой программы — обеспечить эффективную защиту нетронутых лесных массивов на территории России, а также сохранить ценные, находящиеся под угрозой исчезновения виды растений и животных, которые являются частью этих экосистем. Соответствующая информация была предоставлена пресс-службой фонда.
В рамках годовой программы эксперты фонда проведут детальные исследования малонарушенных лесных территорий (МЛТ). Работы будут осуществляться в нескольких ключевых регионах, включая Архангельскую область, Карачаево-Черкесию, Республику Адыгея и Ставропольский край, где сохранились особенно ценные и уникальные первозданные леса.
Полученные в ходе исследований данные будут использованы для точной идентификации наиболее значимых участков, а также для подтверждения присутствия редких видов флоры и фауны. На основе этих сведений будет разработана обновленная карта первозданных лесов с четко обозначенными границами. Кроме того, будут подготовлены все необходимые обоснования для присвоения этим территориям официального защитного статуса.
Представители фонда подчеркнули важность сотрудничества с государственными органами и лесозаготовительными компаниями. Все собранные данные будут переданы им, что позволит принять обоснованные и эффективные меры по сохранению выявленных особо ценных лесных участков.
Особое внимание в рамках проекта уделяется выявлению наиболее ценных территорий через мониторинг ключевых видов. До конца ноября этого года эксперты планируют провести тщательный мониторинг популяции дикого северного оленя в Архангельской области и Республике Карелия, что поможет в определении мест, требующих первоочередной защиты.
Что такое первозданные (малонарушенные) леса?
Это лесные массивы, которые на протяжении всей своей истории подвергались минимальному влиянию хозяйственной деятельности человека. Их отличает полное отсутствие признаков интенсивной антропогенной активности, таких как промышленные вырубки, построенные дороги, линии электропередачи, трубопроводы и другие инфраструктурные объекты.
«Forest Keepers» Project: Protecting Russia`s Pristine Forests
A significant initiative has been launched in Russia to preserve the country`s unique natural treasures – its pristine forests and their rare inhabitants.
The «Nature and People» foundation, in collaboration with «Lemana PRO,» has officially announced the launch of a large-scale project named «Forest Keepers.» The primary goal of this program is to ensure the effective protection of untouched forest areas across Russia, as well as to conserve the valuable and endangered plant and animal species that are integral to these ecosystems. This information was reported by the foundation`s press service.
Over the course of the year-long program, the foundation`s experts will conduct detailed surveys of intact forest territories (IFTs). These studies will be carried out in several key regions, including the Arkhangelsk Region, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Republic of Adygea, and the Stavropol Krai, where particularly valuable and unique pristine forests have been preserved.
The data collected during these surveys will be used to accurately identify the most significant areas and to confirm the presence of rare flora and fauna. Based on this information, an updated map of pristine forests with clearly defined boundaries will be developed. Furthermore, all necessary justifications will be prepared to confer official protected status upon these territories.
Representatives of the foundation emphasized the importance of collaboration with government bodies and logging companies. All collected data will be shared with them, enabling informed and effective measures to be taken for the conservation of the identified highly valuable forest areas.
Special attention within the project is given to identifying exceptionally valuable territories through the monitoring of key species. By the end of November this year, experts plan to conduct thorough monitoring of the wild reindeer population in the Arkhangelsk Region and the Republic of Karelia, which will aid in pinpointing areas requiring priority protection.

These are forest ecosystems that have historically experienced minimal impact from human economic activity. They are characterized by the complete absence of signs of intensive anthropogenic activity, such as industrial logging, constructed roads, power lines, pipelines, and other infrastructural developments.
