The «Progress MS-29» cargo spacecraft is scheduled to undock from the «Poisk» module of the International Space Station`s (ISS) Russian segment on Tuesday evening, after which it will be brought down from orbit. This was announced by the Roscosmos press service.

Undocking is precisely set for 21:39:30 Moscow Time on July 1st from the «Poisk» small research module. According to the plan, its propulsion system is scheduled to perform a braking burn at 00:46 Moscow Time on July 2nd. Following this, the spacecraft will descend from orbit, enter the dense layers of the atmosphere, and break apart.

According to data from the Flight Control Center of TsNIIMash (part of Roscosmos), any structural components that do not burn up upon reentry are expected to fall into a non-navigable area in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean, the press service emphasized.

The «Progress MS-29» was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on November 21, 2024, aboard a Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket, and arrived at the station on November 23. It delivered supplies to the ISS, including New Year gifts for the cosmonauts, fuel for station refueling, potable water, and nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere. The cargo vehicle also transported equipment and materials for various experiments, such as studying the gastrointestinal tract, researching the interaction of microvessels and body tissues, collecting data on crew interaction dynamics, testing a water reclamation system from urine, growing crystals, studying neutrons, and conducting 3D printing research.
