Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia and Kazakhstan are maintaining their collaborative efforts in the realm of space. This partnership encompasses joint scientific investigations and the advancement of satellite constellations.

Speaking at a meeting with heads of international news agencies, Putin clarified that the cooperation between the two nations in space goes beyond just the utilization of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. He highlighted that it also involves shared research projects and the expansion of satellite networks.

This declaration was made during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which is taking place from June 18 to 21, 2025. The central theme for SPIEF this year is «Common Values — A Basis for Growth in a Multipolar World».
