The Russian state corporation Roscosmos has released satellite images showing the cyclone that caused heavy rainfall in Moscow. In its statement, Roscosmos noted that it is conducting «Cyclone monitoring» over the Central part of Russia.
The agency clarified that these images were captured using the domestic satellites «Electro-L» and «Arktika-M».
Earlier on Tuesday, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading meteorologist from the Phobos weather center, had warned of impending heavy downpours and thunderstorms for the capital, forecasting up to 20 liters of precipitation per square meter.
