Roscosmos, Russia`s state space corporation, has released satellite images of the cyclone that brought heavy rain and hail to Moscow.

Earlier on Saturday, Moscow`s city services reported that the city center had received almost a quarter of its monthly precipitation norm in a single day. A thunderstorm and significant downpour affected the southeastern areas of the capital on Saturday evening.

According to the official statement from Roscosmos, «Heat, rain, and hail in Moscow – Roscosmos satellites have shown how the cyclone appears from space.»

The state corporation further clarified that these images were captured by the Russian satellites `Electro-L` and `Arktika-M`.
