Roscosmos, Russia`s state space corporation, has announced plans to launch a total of 18 small commercial satellites into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome during the third quarter of 2025.
The planned payload includes seventeen small CubeSat-format satellites manufactured in Russia. These will be launched from specialized containers to fulfill contracts with Russian customers. Additionally, one small spacecraft will be launched for an international client.
Among the specific spacecraft mentioned are two 3U CubeSats developed by the Geoscan group of companies. These satellites will carry payloads from Gonets, a company within the Roscosmos structure, and are intended for testing packet data transmission technologies. The launch will also include an InnoSat16 satellite, a 16U CubeSat designed for Earth remote sensing.
Further details regarding the other satellites scheduled for this mission were not disclosed.
Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of Roscosmos, is responsible for providing the launch service and serves as the primary integrator for the deployment of these secondary payloads.
