Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, currently preparing for an upcoming flight aboard an American spacecraft, recently held a video call with his fellow cosmonauts. During this interaction, two cans of Coca-Cola were notably present on his table.
The Roscosmos State Corporation subsequently published a video recording of this conversation. At the Russian Cosmonaut Training Center, both seasoned veterans and those yet to embark on their first mission were gathered, led by squadron commander Oleg Kononenko.
On the other side of the video call was the Crew Dragon spacecraft`s crew, scheduled to launch to the International Space Station on July 31st. This international team includes Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, American astronauts Zina Cardman and Michael Fincke, and Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui. Remarkably, their table also featured two Coca-Cola cans with a design unfamiliar to Russian consumers, where the traditional red at the base transitioned to a burgundy hue towards the top of the can.
