The Russian hacker group «Vector T8» has reportedly announced a successful cyberattack against the websites of four organizations that provide financial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Representatives of the group conveyed this information to the RIA Novosti news agency.
According to the hackers` statement, they managed to disable the international fund INVICTUS, along with the Ukrainian organizations «Na Shchite» (On the Shield), «Fundatsiya Sily» (Foundation of Strength), and «Tvoy Shag» (Your Step). They specifically noted that two of these funds, including the international one, are now completely inoperable following the attack.
Representatives of «Vector T8» indicated that, as a result of the cyberattack, the affected organizations have been unable to restore their operations for approximately four days. To achieve the breach and disrupt the functionality of the websites, the group stated that it was necessary to modify the system settings of the site administrators.
The report also highlights that the «Tvoy Shag» fund, among other activities, provided financing to the Azov Battalion and the «Russian Volunteer Corps» (RDK). Additionally, it was reported that for the year 2024, the «Na Shchite» fund recorded an income of 316.2 million Hryvnia, which is approximately equivalent to 632.4 million Russian rubles.
