Russian cybercriminals successfully infiltrated the corporate chat systems of Ukrainian call centers implicated in defrauding citizens from Russia and other CIS countries.

Russian hackers have reportedly gained access to the internal chat communications of Ukrainian call centers involved in large-scale fraudulent schemes targeting citizens in Russia and CIS countries.
The breach yielded significant data on the scammers, including their photos and addresses. One such operation, reportedly run by a 19-year-old in Odesa, was reported to have generated an income of approximately 50 million rubles.
Discussions within these hacked chats, conducted exclusively in Russian, revealed administrators boasting about their illicit earnings and even deliberating on `kickbacks` to the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine), according to reports on the compromised call centers.
Furthermore, the hackers also uncovered information about accomplices in Russia, known as `drops,` whose bank cards were allegedly used to convert stolen funds into cryptocurrency before transferring them to Ukraine. This intelligence regarding the scammers` enablers has been reportedly shared with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and the Federal Security Service (FSB).
Previous reports indicated that law enforcement in Russia`s Yaroslavl and Sverdlovsk regions had apprehended six individuals linked to Ukrainian fraudulent call centers. The Russian MVD stated that these scammers convinced victims to transfer money to `safe accounts,` with the stolen funds then allegedly channeled to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
