The Sun has been experiencing a continuous flare for several days, as its background X-ray radiation consistently exceeds the C-level flare threshold. This phenomenon was reported by experts from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Scientists note that an exceptionally large number of sunspots remain visible on the Sun`s surface, which indicates significant reserves of energy capable of triggering such flares. According to their statement, the persistently high level of X-ray emission serves as further confirmation of ongoing active processes on our star, effectively suggesting that a form of «burning» continues on the Sun.
