The State Commission at the Baikonur Cosmodrome has officially authorized the fueling and launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket, which is slated to carry the Progress MS-31 cargo spacecraft to orbit. This decision was announced by Roscosmos on Thursday.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket, designed to deliver the Progress vessel to orbit, is scheduled for 22:32 Moscow time from the Baikonur spaceport.

Docking with the Poisk module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) is anticipated on July 6 at 0:28 Moscow time. The duration of the spacecraft`s mission is planned for 167 days.

The Progress MS-31 will transport over 2.6 tons of cargo to the station, including 950 kilograms of fuel for refueling the ISS, 50 kilograms of nitrogen to replenish the atmosphere, 420 kilograms of drinking water, as well as food, clothing, and hygiene and medical supplies for the crew.

In addition, the spacecraft carries equipment and consumables necessary for station upgrades, repairs, and conducting scientific experiments with names such as `Impuls`, `Mirage`, `Fullerene`, `Biopolymer`, `Virtual`, `Splanchn`, `Biodegradation`, `Orbita-MG`, and `Separation`.
