Parents attempting to apply electronically for college admission in Moscow via the mos.ru website are encountering difficulties. This year, Moscow colleges offer 43,000 state-funded places.
The admissions period for Moscow colleges has begun, with 43,000 state-funded positions available this year. However, many parents are reporting problems with submitting documents online through the mos.ru portal. According to Andrey, who spoke to Business FM, technical glitches occurred this morning when his child attempted to apply for a law program.
He stated that initially, not all information was displayed, with some colleges and program details, including which ones were state-funded, missing. Eventually, the entire system stopped working. The concern is that with a limited number of places listed for each institution in Moscow, students unable to submit their applications promptly due to technical issues might either miss out on a state-funded spot or only be able to enroll on a commercial basis. Andrey noted that some applicants successfully submitted documents late last night, but those trying this morning are physically unable to do so.
Students still have time to apply. This year`s ninth-grade graduates can submit applications until July 26th, or until July 20th if entrance exams are required for the program. Students who completed ninth grade last year, along with eleventh-grade graduates and non-resident applicants, have until August 15th to submit their documents.
