Summer-like warmth is set to linger in the Moscow region. Forecasters predict sunny skies and minimal precipitation throughout the week in Moscow and its surrounding areas. On Monday, no rain is expected, with daytime temperatures reaching 21 degrees Celsius, and up to 24 degrees in some places. Nights will be cooler, dropping to around 16 degrees. This stable weather pattern is expected to continue with little change through the weekend, as stated by Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center:

Alexander Shuvalov, Head of Meteo Forecasting Center:

“On September 17-18, there will be minor shifts in temperature and pressure, but overall, very comfortable weather will persist: no precipitation, light winds, and light morning fogs. Today and tomorrow, Moscow and the Moscow region will see temperatures of 22-24 degrees. Subsequently, a slight drop to 18-19 degrees is expected for daytime temperatures, while nighttime temperatures will be around 10 degrees or lower. Mornings will be cool due to clear nights causing some chill, as it is mid-September after all. Despite cooler mornings, these are comfortable temperatures. Most importantly, no precipitation is expected from the second half of the week as an anticyclone approaches, positioned slightly northeast of Moscow, ensuring clear, sunny weather. These prospects extend throughout the upcoming week, including the weekend and the beginning of the following week. Preliminary forecasts suggest a transition from dry conditions to rainy weather, though the intensity of the rain is difficult to predict. No sharp cold snap is currently anticipated.”

Earlier, the «Phobos» weather center reported that meteorological autumn would commence only in the third decade of September. Prior to that, temperatures were expected to hover around 20 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees above the monthly norm.
