The artworks were discovered in the home of a suspect in the case, as announced by Parma Police Chief Andrea Pagliaro. Investigations have focused on a gang of nine Moldovans, five of whom are believed to have participated in the theft.

The recovered works include Paul Cézanne's "Cup and Plates with Cherries," valued at six million euros, Auguste Renoir's "The Fish," worth three million euros, and Henri Matisse's "Odalisque on the Terrace," estimated to be worth around 20,000 euros.
