При этом оба гола «Сочи» забил Барко с пенальти, второй из которых пришелся на компенсированное время. Гости выражают уверенность, что судейство было предвзятым. По моему мнению, оба одиннадцатиметровых выглядели сомнительно, особенно первый. Второй же скорее был результатом стечения обстоятельств, нежели явного фола: Заболотный, падая, потянул за собой защитника Литвинова. «Нападающий грамотно сыграл, выполнил свою задачу, заработав пенальти, который в итоге стал победным. Защитнику же, наверное, следовало быть осмотрительнее и не давать судье повода для такого решения. Будучи нападающим в прошлом, если бы в конце матча мне не дали такой пенальти, я был бы крайне расстроен. Ведь я бы посчитал, что выиграл позицию, развернулся, а на меня сверху навалились. Я, безусловно, настаивал бы на пенальти. С позиции защитника, можно сказать: что я мог еще сделать? Я плотно опекал нападающего, он разворачивается — я следую за ним. Но он немного нагибается, и я падаю на него сверху. В общем, это была хорошая игра нападающего. А защитнику, возможно, не стоило давать повод, чтобы судья мог назначить такой пенальти».

The second seemed more like a confluence of circumstances rather than a clear foul: Zabolotny, falling, pulled defender Litvinov down with him. From a defender`s perspective, one might say: what else could I have done? I was marking the forward closely; he turns, and I follow him. But he bends down a bit, and I fall on him from above. Overall, it was a good play by the forward. And perhaps the defender shouldn`t have given the referee a reason to award such a penalty.»
However, the referee made the call. Spartak won, and along with Zenit, climbed two positions in the league table. Meanwhile, the St. Petersburg club confidently handled Pari NN at home. Despite a goalless first half, captain Douglas Santos, who hadn`t scored since May last year, opened the scoring after the break. Substitute Cassierra then doubled their lead. The final score of 2:0 brought a victory that even the usually self-critical head coach of Zenit, Sergey Semak, was pleased with:
«It was a well-deserved, hard-fought victory. We created chances in the first half and managed to score in the second. There were many positive actions, and importantly, we maintained a balance between attack and defense. This is crucial because Pari NN are very good at quick counter-attacks and almost every match they have dangerous moments, and they are also effective in transitioning from defense and counter-pressing. In this regard, we managed today, with the exception of a couple of episodes. Now we`ll rest, and our international players will go to their national teams. Then we`ll prepare for a friendly match on September 6 against Sion, and after that, we`ll prepare for the resumption of the championship.»
The coach of the former champions reminded us of the upcoming league break. After the seventh round, the RPL will pause for two weeks for the Russian national team to play against Jordan at Spartak Stadium and then an away game against Qatar. Regarding the table, before Sunday`s matches, it looks like this: Krasnodar leads with 15 points, CSKA and Lokomotiv both have 14, with the army club ahead on goal difference. Zenit and Baltika have 12 points each, while Spartak and Rubin have 11. Dynamo is in eighth position with eight points.
Sunday`s matches include: Akron vs. Baltika scheduled for 13:30. Former leader Lokomotiv will start their home game against Krylia Sovetov at 15:45. At 18:00, the main clash of August will take place – the battle between first and second in the table, CSKA vs. Krasnodar. Finally, at 20:45, the derby between the two Dynamos – Moscow and Makhachkala – will kick off in Kaspiysk.
