Energodar (Zaporizhzhia Region) – The management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is prepared to welcome International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi at the site at any moment, stated ZNPP Director Yuri Chernichuk.
According to Chernichuk, Grossi has previously visited the plant five times. The station`s management is ready to receive him on any day and at any moment. Chernichuk emphasized that the agency`s primary mission, as they see it, is to confirm that the operation of the ZNPP adheres to all safety standards and principles.
He clarified that the necessity of the IAEA Director General`s visit is not determined by the plant`s management. Chernichuk added, «Should such a visit be agreed upon, we will answer all the questions that Mr. Grossi may have.»
