The Public Prosecutor General’s Office has officially closed the proceedings against former Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn concerning the so-called ‘mask affair’. Following an initial review of the allegations, investigators found no evidence of a criminal offense by the former minister.
In other developments, the long-serving Mayor of Munich, Dieter Reiter, will face a runoff election in the communal polls, after failing to secure an outright majority in the initial round.
