ProSieben announced on Friday, via industry publication DWDL, that the "HeidiFest" program will not be broadcast this year. However, a change in direction for Heidi Klum's televised celebration was revealed on Saturday when RTL announced through the newspaper "Bild" that they have acquired the broadcasting rights for "HeidiFest."

Klum, who splits her time between Germany and the USA, explained to "Bild" that the "Trachtenkrawall" (traditional costume commotion), broadcast from the Hofbräuhaus, also serves as a way to pass on traditions. She stated, "I think this is all great for showing my American friends how we celebrate here in Germany, what we eat, how we look, and what our music sounds like." Past guests have included Howard Carpendale and Roberto Blanco, as well as the Wildecker Herzbuben. The lineup for this year has not yet been announced.
