Arrests in Germany for Power Substation Attacks: Suspected Saboteur Apprehended

The alleged perpetrator responsible for recent attacks on various power substations in Germany has been apprehended on Tuesday near Weisweiler, North Rhine-Westphalia. According to SPIEGEL reports, Daniel V., a 48-year-old man, was apprehended on foot and alone. He had reportedly attempted to bypass a traffic barrier. Several of his self-made devices, used to attack power substations, were discovered last night at a power plant in Weisweiler. Police had been conducting an intensive manhunt for him for several days. The responsible Cologne police department confirmed the arrest of an individual in the Weisweiler area.
